#CroydonTogether: a special thank you for schools

The #CroydonTogether campaign is today saying a special thank you to schools, teachers and staff for everything they are doing to support their communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. More than 50 Croydon schools will be staying open throughout the Easter holiday to continue to provide care for vulnerable children and those of critical workers. This is enabling parents and carers to fulfil vital roles in public services from the NHS and social care, to street cleaning and bin collection, at this crucial time.

Council appeal for donations to boost personal protective equipment supply

With a national shortage of PPE, Croydon Council is appealing to local businesses for donations of personal protective equipment (PPE), to boost its supplies and help protect the borough’s frontline health and social care workers. The council is working hard to source additional supplies for the hundreds of carers that are continuing to deliver much-needed health, social care and support to some of Croydon’s most vulnerable residents.

Croydon Council has today launched the #CroydonTogether campaign to recognise and support the efforts of all those working to care for, help and support their community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether you are a nurse or doctor in the NHS; a teacher; a council worker supporting children or the elderly, collecting bins or cleaning streets; a community volunteer - or simply, a being good friend or neighbour – we want to hear from you.
