Street Live’s programme of free live outdoor music, dance, sport and street theatre events continues to make Croydon High Street the place to be throughout August, with an eclectic range of opportunities for fun in the sun.
Delivered by Croydon Council and the Croydon BID, Street Live is transforming the High Street area into a hive of activity for all ages throughout the summer, offering something a little different for shoppers, diners and passers-by.
On three Friday evenings (3, 24 & 31 August), Busk Stop will bring talented artists from all over to perform ambient tunes. Those who fancy honing their performing skills can just turn up, grab the mike and go!
On the weekend of 11 & 12 August, Fit Street will get physical on the streets of Croydon. People can start the day with some yoga, take a HITT session, tone their waists with a hula hoop, or take themselves to a higher plane with next level meditation.
Street Fest returns for the third and final time on Saturday 25 August, introducing Bloco’s carnival vibes with steel pans, drums and brass.
Councillor Oliver Lewis, cabinet member for culture, leisure and sport said: “The last two months of music, fun and sport on the High Street have been fantastic, and it’s great to see there’s yet more fun and excitement to come.”
